The V-Ring is the world's first Nickel-Titanium sectional matrix retainer ring. 

Featuring super-elasticity, the ability to place the wedge before or after ring placement.

It is also the only retainer ring that does not get in the way of the wedge. All other sectional matrix systems (except our own Tri-Clip) have the problem that the wedges and the retainer ring compete for the interproximal space. This problem caused the wedge to distort, causes difficulty in placing the retainer spring and can even cause the spring to jump off.

The V-Ring over comes all these problems by providing a space for the wedge between the legs of the tines in the V-shaped groove shown on the left.

In addition, the V-Ring holds the sectional matrix where it needs to be held so that it forms a natural anatomical shape. This also prevents the matrix from springing back and leaving a gap.

The unique patented-pending V-shaped tines prevent the ring collapsing into wide cavities. They also have excellent retention as they grip tightly into the undercuts on both teeth either side of the embrasure.

The image below shows UR6-UR5 contact before placement of a V-Ring and after 3 minutes with the V-Ring in place. The separation that occurred was 60-80µ.

The Tab-Matrix is first sectional matrix that is designed to produce great result while being easy to use. The most obvious novel feature of the Tab-Matrix is the Tab which overcomes the frustration caused by the difficulty of placement of such a small part. The Tab acts as a 'handle' that can be bent mesially to enable the Tab-Matrix to be easily gripped with any kind of tweezers.

Another common problem with sectional matrices is the difficulty of removing the sectional matrix after the placement of the restoration. Achieving the desired effect of a tight contact only makes the problem harder. The solution is the pin-holes in the Tab-Matrix. These gripping pin-holes are designed to work with TrioDent's patent-pending 'Pin-Tweezers'. The combined effect of the Pin-Tweezers gripping the hole in the matrix gives an astonishing amount of grip.

The Tab-Matrix is the most anatomically accurate matrix on the market. Most other matrices have a simple arc curvature, while the Tab-Matrices have an S-shaped curve that more accurately replicates the true proximal surface form. See the image on the right.
